The special vehicle manufacturer MOST Mobile Specials will again support the GreenTec Awards this year by sending its most innovative FUTURIA truck model to the award ceremony to Munich. 

This visionary truck with a flashy design sporting the look of the GreenTec Awards will help promote this ecological social event of the year. For the entire week, it will travel the streets of the state capital or be on display at the IFAT.

The annual GreenTec Awards, Europe’s biggest environmental and business prize, took place at Munich’s International Congress Center as part of a glamorous gala event on 4 May 2014. In the presence of leading representatives from business, science, politics and media, the most innovative green products, projects and environmental technologies were selected for a GreenTec Award in a total of nine categories. Additionally, six GreenTec Special Awards were presented.

The seventh environmental summit also attracted top-class laudatory and speakers this year, including the Chief of the Federal Chancellery and Minister for Special Duties, Peter Altmaier, who inaugurated the evening’s festivities with an enthusiastic speech. Guenther Oettinger, EU Commissioner for Energy, stressed the importance of green technologies and the well-known ecologist and environmental activist David Mayer de Rothschild gave a laudatory speech together with Dr. Heike Schiffler, executive board member of Tetra Pak Mid Europe. Many culinary highlights provided sustenance for this event’s guests, especially the vegetarian catering service by Feinkost Käfer. Music acts were provided by Clark Datchler, front man for Johnny Hates Jazz, and Rea Garvey, who also performed live on stage.

The award ceremony is the prelude for the IFAT, the world’s biggest environmental technology fair. Prestigious partners such as Airbus, Porsche or TÜV Nord supported the GreenTec Awards along with MOST.

As a GreenTec ambassador, the FUTURIA truck draws attention through its pioneering design and aerodynamic body made of lightweight fibre reinforced composites and thus, leads the way to more environmental awareness. This clearly distinguishes it from the crowd of regular transport vehicles.
