Euraxess – Researchers in Motion (2)
Info mobile on the road to visit young researchers across Europe
This is already the second time that 'Euraxess – Researchers in Motion' is touring 16 European countries and 34 cities.
The objective of this EU-initiative is to support PhD students and mobile researchers in gaining a foothold in European research sites, and thus also to help them establish their careers in science on an international scale. In more than 260 service centres spanning the entire European continent, they can consult with Euraxess staff members and obtain information about entry permits, their stay abroad, accommodations as well as social security and tax issues.
Scientific careers in France, Italy or Portugal
Two info mobile teams are on the way to universities in Europe’s major cities. Young researchers will be able to get advice on-site about how to further their careers, job openings and financial support opportunities. Moreover, a professional photographer will be on hand at each campaign stop to take the perfect application photo. This service is provided free-of-charge and the photo can be uploaded – together with a CV – directly to the Euraxess job portal for researchers and scientific staff.
Join-in activities, discussion rounds, workshops with experts and 'science slams', which take place in close proximity to the info mobiles, complete the diverse roadshow programme. Onboard the info mobiles are photo booths that can be used for taking selfies and creating postcards.
