2014 FIFA World Cup Trophy goes on an extensive truck tour
The German Football Association (DFB) considers amateur football as the source of Germany’s success during the 2014 World Football Championships. In acknowledgement of this, it sent the FIFA World Cup Trophy on a spectacular roadshow all across Germany, covering a distance of 6,920 kilometres.
From a total of 797 applications received, 62 clubs were selected as tour stops, in addition to the football club 1. FC Hösbach. And this is also where the PROMOSTAR-Roadtrain, consisting of two show-trucks connected via a pneumatic lock, made its 17th tour stop on 19 June 2015. Apart from Hösbach, the FIFA World Cup Trophy is stopping at only seven other locations in Bavaria.
The 1. FC Hösbach football club prepared for this mega event, in which the 2014 FIFA World Cup Winner's Trophy went on a lap of honour throughout Germany, with fascinating dedication. All day, long queues formed in front of both trucks as visitors relished the chance to have their photo taken with the trophy. Across the entire 130 m³, the trucks offered a very thrilling setting that let the imagination of football fans run wild. By means of a personal code, the photos were then downloadable in high resolution from the DFB website.
The number of the much-coveted admission bracelets to experience the multi-media show in the show-trucks was strictly limited to a total of 2014 pieces for the members, friends and guests of each of the selected clubs.
In any case, the 1. FC Hösbach football club put on a very impressive football festival for young and old alike on the occasion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour. In fact, even after handing the trophy over to security services, which is a standard procedure, the celebrations still lasted until late at night.
