The Oberstdorf CUBE
Promotional stand to advertise the Nordic World Ski Championships 2021
Held from 23 February – 7 March 2021, it’s the winter sport highlight in Oberstdorf/Allgäu. Once again, after 1987 and 2005, the focus of the winter sports world will be on Oberstdorf where world champions are crowned in ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic Combination.
A limited liability company was expressly founded for its execution – for handling the entire preparations and the implementation of this major sporting event. The "FIS Nordische Ski WM Oberstdorf/Allgäu 2021 GmbH" is composed of partners from the Oberstdorf market community, the German Ski Association, the Oberallgäu County and the Skiclub 1906 Oberstdorf e.V..
Not only will it ensure that sporting matters are advocated in the best possible way, it will also take into consideration tourism in Oberstdorf and the Allgäu in general – in all its many facets. The company’s mission is to get a sustainable event up and running that satisfies all of these requirements.
Since the Ski World Championships of 2021 are just two winters away, the Oberstdorf CUBE has been put into action as a promotional stand during major winter sporting events of the 2018/2019 season. It has, for example, been on display during the Four Hills Tournament and the Ski Jumping World Cup. This breathtaking “flight show” in which the world’s best ski jumpers achieve distances of up to 260 meters (and there are only five ski jumping hills!) is a must-see event.
